Discover a variety of slopes, child-friendly offers and numerous activities that will turn your winter vacation into an adventure. Enjoy time together in the great outdoors and create memories that will stay with you long after the last snowfall.

Tips for the first day of skiing

  • Children can start skiing from around 3-4 years of age. They learn quickly through imitation and playful exercises
  • Shorter skis, approximately up to the middle of the chest, are easier to handle at the beginning. Don't forget your helmet and goggles!
  • To get used to it, the children can simply ski with the skis at first.
  • Parents can then pull their child while they practise simple balance exercises such as standing on one leg or shifting their weight.
  • If the child is confident enough to ride downhill a short distance, it can practice "pizza", i.e. the plow.
  • Next, a ski school with trained instructors is a very good option. There, children learn in groups with their peers and using playful methods.
  • The most important thing with all exercises: The focus should be on having fun. Children develop a love of skiing in a relaxed atmosphere with lots of praise.

Blue slopes in the ski area

Beginners make their first attempts at skiing on blue slopes. In Lenggries there is the Streidlhang with cable and drag lift. In Wegscheid, the Draxlhang or Jaudenhang are ideal. There are ski schools on all three slopes, which have a special offer and separate areas for small children.

Slopes for the whole family

Family skiing at the Milchhäusllift

Families whose children have outgrown the beginner slopes, but for whom the entire ski area is still a size too big, are in good hands on the family slope. The Milchhäusl chairlift makes it easier for children to get on thanks to its height-adjustable floor. The descent is then on one of the two family runs or the Waxenstein run. The slopes are wider and gentler - and lead directly back to the start at the Milchhäusl lift. The gentle slopes also offer parents a relaxed opportunity to share the joy of skiing with their children.

Child-friendly lifts in the area

Our modern Milchhäusl and Schrödelstein chairlifts are particularly child-friendly: Thanks to the height-adjustable floor, children can get on safely and comfortably. Various red slopes are easily accessible with these lifts. To get from the Milchhäusllift to the Schrödelsteinlift, a ride on the Ahorn chairlift is necessary. However, children under approx. 1.25 m must be accompanied by an adult to help them get on. Alternatively, you can take the gondola lift, from the top station of which the Schrödelstein lift is directly accessible.

Tobogganing from the Reiser Alm

An alternative to skiing is a winter excursion to the Reiser Alm. It takes around 20 minutes to climb up the forest road to the alpine pasture. On the sun terrace, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the snow-covered Isarwinkel and the alpine pasture's own deer enclosure. You can then sledge down into the valley.
