Paragliders and hang-gliders find their Eldorado on the Brauneck due to the usually very good thermals and the optimal take-off and landing conditions.

Depending on the wind direction, there are various take-off options in the immediate vicinity of the Brauneck cable car mountain station. The landing sites near the valley station are also suitable for less experienced pilots. Ambitious pilots can also take off from Brauneck for long flights into the high alpine Karwendel massif.
