Romy Ertl - Alpine skiing
Skiclub Lenggries
Romy comes from Lenggries and learned to ski with her mother on the Draxlhang when she was one and a half years old. She has been skiing for the Lenggries ski club since she was four years old. A lot has happened since then: Even as a child, she was able to win several children's and school races, including international races such as the "Alpe Cimbra FIS Children Cup".
She has been competing in FIS races since last year and has already won 4 of them. She also competed at the Youth Olympic Games in South Korea last year, where she won bronze in the combined event.
Since this year she has been in the C squad of the German Ski Association and since September 2024 part of the Bundeswehr sports support group.
Brauneck is her home, she loved skiing there as a child and still does.
She used to go up there every day in winter and skied all the forest trails and moguls after pole training.
Even now, she still looks forward to every day that she can go skiing at home on the Brauneck. She also spends a lot of time on the mountain in summer and likes to go up on foot - and then always looks forward to a stop at the Quenger Alm.
Skiing makes you happy

Skiing makes you happy
Simply skiing
In winter, her training often looks very different: She trains and races in many different places. Even though she is on the road a lot, coming home every now and then is very important to her!
Her advice: Always believe in yourself and, above all, have fun doing what you do.
Her greatest motivation comes from her mother (Martina Ertl), who was a professional ski racer herself and has won several World Cup victories and medals. These medals have been hanging in her living room for as long as she can remember and this motivates her every day.
Her goal is to keep improving and to give everything to get a little closer to my biggest childhood dream (the World Cup).
